The National Black Cowboy Rodeo Awards & Gala is the first event of its kind —

a nationally recognized platform dedicated exclusively to honoring Black

Cowboys and Cowgirls in every aspect of rodeo. From riders and ropers

to announcers, secretaries, rodeo moms, and roundup clubs, the BCRAs

ensures that every contributor to Black rodeo culture receives the

recognition they deserve.

A Legacy Centuries in the Making

Black cowboys have shaped the American West for hundreds of years.

Legends like Bass Reeves, Bill Pickett, Nate Love, and Myrtis Dightman Sr.

— the 'Jackie Robinson of Rodeo' blazed trails still

being ridden today.

The BCRAs exists to make sure their stories, and those of today's

champions, are never forgotten.
